Bald Hill Ski Bowl ran from 1965 to 1980 on Bald Hill in Farmingville, one of the highest points on Long Island, near Exit 63 of the Long Island Expressway. NELSAP counts it as the largest ski area ever to run on the island. Its T-bar was Long Island's only overhead cable lift, and two rope tows worked beside it.1,2
Guides from the early 1970s list three slopes and five trails, with snowmaking, night skiing, a ski shop and rentals, off Route 112. They put the vertical drop anywhere from 120 to 180 feet; NELSAP gives 200 feet.1,3
