Counting who skied it…
Boxboro Hills sat just off Route 117, a few minutes from Interstate 495, below a hotel that has carried names from Sheraton to Holiday Inn. NELSAP believes it opened in the 1970s together with the hotel; guests skied there, and so did the public.1,2

Boxboro Hills sat just off Route 117, a few minutes from Interstate 495, below a hotel that has carried names from Sheraton to Holiday Inn. NELSAP believes it opened in the 1970s together with the hotel; guests skied there, and so did the public. It came after Flagg Hill, the town's earlier ski area.1,2
A T-bar and two rope tows served nine trails and slopes on 130 feet of vertical, and the longest run was about 1,000 feet. There was night skiing and snowmaking. The 1987 Eastern Ski Map still listed it, but it had closed by the late 1980s, most likely because it was so small and Nashoba Valley was close by. Its T-bar was moved to the Jericho ski area in Marlborough.1
