History
Written by aurora.ski from the 2 pages below, each sentence numbered to its sources.
Flagg Hill had one large open slope, a few narrower trails and close to 150 feet of vertical, with its lodge at the top of the hill rather than the bottom. It began with a short rope tow. A commenter on NELSAP recalls a chairlift going in during the mid-to-late 1970s, when the place was run as a country club with tennis as well as skiing, and NELSAP reports that a double chair from the hill later ran at Otis Ridge.1
The dates are loose. NELSAP gives the 1960s and 1970s and says the area closed sometime in the 1970s; the town of Boxborough mentions a small commercial ski slope on the hill in the early 1970s. Boxboro Hills opened in the same town afterward.1,2
