Honey Hill was a local ski hill off Route 19 in the town of Warsaw, a mile or two south of the village. Skikabbalah says it started in 1975 and ran for a little over ten years as a hometown hill, though the guidebooks in its own reference list name Honey Hill as early as 1970. A T-bar, a Mitey Mite and two rope tows served about 160 feet of vertical, snowmaking could cover the whole hill, and night skiing ran Tuesday through Sunday.1,2
The guidebooks give a slightly different picture: 130 feet of vertical, a T-bar and two rope tows from 1970 to 1973, and 200 feet with a bar lift and three rope tows in the White Book of 1977 and 1978.2
