History
Written by aurora.ski from the 3 pages below, each sentence numbered to its sources.
Ski Valley sat five miles west of LaPorte on Highway 2 and two miles north on Forrester Road, by the Indiana Toll Road. It was an upside-down area, with its lodge and parking at the top of the hill. In 1978 it ran six rope tows and a T-bar on 120 feet of vertical, and Skimap.org keeps a trail map from that year. The Midwest Lost Ski Areas Project gives 1992 as its closing year, with a question mark.1,2,3
