History
Written by aurora.ski from the 2 pages below, each sentence numbered to its sources.
Four Seasons began in 1958 as a driving range called 90 Acres in the Town of Manlius. Its own history dates the first rope tow to 1962 and the first winter of skiing to 1963, during the skiing boom; in 1964 came a rope tow driven by a flathead Ford V-8. Mini-golf followed in 1965, snowmaking in 1974, and in 1978 a second rope tow on the hill later used for tubing.1
In 1986 a J-bar bought from Bristol Mountain replaced one of the rope tows, and snow tubing began in 1996. A chairlift bought in 2003 from Holiday Valley's ski school went up in 2004 as the Four Seasons Express. In 2022 the business was added to a historic business preservation registry.1
The center later posted that it would close: the property was being sold, and the buyer had other plans for the site. The notice carries no date.2
