SKI Magazine described it in November 1974: eight miles east of Three Lakes in the Nicolet National Forest, a 200-foot drop spread over eight groomed slopes, from a bunny run to one about 2,000 feet long, served by a Poma lift and three rope tows. The area was run from the Northernaire, a year-round resort operated by the Marty family, whose weekend guests could take beginner lessons on the resort's lawn.1,3
MWLSAP gives 1978 as its closing year, when a directory listed two rope tows and a Poma lift. Skimap.org nonetheless holds a Sheltered Valley trail map that it dates to 1982.1,5
