Wolf Hollow Ski Area lay just off Route 611 in Delaware Water Gap, on the golf course of the Delaware Water Gap Country Club. An ad in a 1969 ski atlas shows it in business, and a reader citing a lift database says its double chair and T-bar, both Borvig lifts, were installed in 1967. Neither its opening nor its closing year is known; a visitor in 2007 guessed it did not last into the 1980s, and a later one thought it closed in the late 1970s.1
The double chair ran from the golf course to the summit over about 300 feet of vertical, and the T-bar served the lower meadow up to a steep headwall in the middle of the hill. The golf clubhouse probably served as the lodge. When skiing ended, only the lift sections out on the golf course were taken down; in the woods the towers still stand with the haul rope draped over the sheaves, along with lights and snowmaking lines.1
TodayThe lower slopes are golf course, and lift towers with slack haul rope remain in the overgrown woods above. (2020)1
